The holidays are here! Enjoy trick or treating but don’t blink, or else you’ll end up in 2025.
Earlier this year, we began using our new website and marketing platform. Hopefully you’ve been receiving our emails promoting upcoming events. If you, or someone in your firm is interested in ACEC, but aren't receiving our emails, please contact Stephanie Crary at stephaniecrary@acec-ca-sierrachapter.com.
The Sierra Chapter is thrilled to host a panel discussion luncheon on alternative delivery as our final event of 2024. Mark your calendars for November 20, 12-1:30 p.m. Our panel is set to include Jim Rogers with Caltrans, US 50 DB project, Mark Hopkins with Otto Construction, Dustin Rath with TRC, and John Stump with FLINT Construction. Be prepared with questions to learn more about different alternative delivery methods, and how consultants can position themselves for success on project teams. Register here.
Sierra Chapter gives a hearty round of applause to Jeff Werner, City of Elk Grove, for attending our October dinner event and sharing all the exciting work that is going on in Elk Grove. The new zoo will be impressive… $300 million +, 4-5 times bigger than the current Sacramento Zoo, and a restaurant overlooking the savannah. 2030 can’t come soon enough!
Many of you are familiar with the Tim Fleming scholarship program, and we would appreciate you helping to spread the word that applications are now being accepted. Tim Fleming was an exceptional engineer and friend to ACEC who unexpectedly passed in 2010. Tim’s family, ACEC Sierra Chapter, and the California Transportation Foundation proudly carry on Tim’s legacy through the Tim Fleming scholarship. Students apply here: Tim Fleming Scholarship
I look forward to seeing everyone on November 20. As always, thank you for your support of ACEC Sierra Chapter.
